If you’ve hunted elk in Montana, you probably understand how remote and spooky the backcountry can feel. From the pitch-black timber to the unusual sounds and that weird feeling that someone is watching you, there’s enough going on to spark your imagination.
Imagine being in the middle of elk country when suddenly you look up and see a large black silent triangle flying between mountain peaks. That is what allegedly occurred to a Wyoming elk hunter more than twenty years ago. According to some recent information released by the government regarding a similar object, this man’s tale is receiving renewed interest.
Gary Medicine Cloud was hunting elk with his partner in Wyoming's Wind River Range in 2003, when his partner killed a bull elk. While Medicine Cloud was observing the surrounding woods (as well as ensuring there wasn’t a bear coming down looking for a free meal), Medicine Cloud claimed that he saw something much stranger.
