A former Marine has revealed a bizarre encounter he had with what he believed was Bigfoot.
Describing the Summer 2005 incident in Quantico, Virginia, Andrew Bird was conducting "field training exercises" at a mock urban facility off-limits to civilians.
The mysterious incident was documented in a recent report to the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization.
One night, he and two fellow Marines received orders to leave the area and navigate through the forest to a pickup point "approximately 500 to 700 meters away."
During what should have been a straightforward mission, the three heard a loud cracking noise and directed their flashlights toward the source to investigate the disturbance.
