Geely has reached a new milestone in electric vehicle charging. Its Aegis Gold Brick Battery surpassed the 1,000 kW vehicle-side charging mark during recent state-certified tests in China. The China Automotive Technology and Research Center confirmed that Geely’s new short-blade lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery achieved a peak charging input of 1,093 kW, according to Ifeng.
This achievement comes as automakers are now competing to reduce charging times, not just to extend driving range.
