Chinese EV battery maker Sunwoda is shifting focus toward faster charging and diversified chemistries, unveiling a new lineup that combines ultra-fast LFP batteries, sodium-ion development, and AI-driven battery systems.

At the center is the Xingchi Supercharge Battery 2.0, a lithium-iron phosphate pack built for passenger EVs. It supports 15C charging, enabling a recharge from 5% to 95% in just nine minutes, or from 5% to 75% in 5.5 minutes. The demonstrated system includes 264 prismatic cells, delivering more than 98.8 kWh at 844.8 V.

Peak current reaches 1,800 A, while cycle life exceeds 1,500 cycles. According to the company, ultra-fast charging can be used throughout the battery’s warranty period without restrictions.
