As the US Navy plans to finalize the developer of its sixth-generation fighter jet, the F/A-XX, the service has provided some crucial information about the upcoming marvel.

On the first day of the Sea Air Space 2025 exhibition in Maryland from April 7-9, the US Navy said it expects the F/A-XX to have a 25% more range than the current fifth-generation F-35C Lightning II.

The Navy is expected to award a contract to develop F/A-XX to Northrop Grumman or Boeing later this week.
