A Nebraska witness reports a meteor shower with small pieces coming down over a quarter-mile area on October 18, 2011, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The reporting witness is the witnesses' father. He said his son lives on his property, but one-half mile away. He explained that meteors have fallen in their area before - and "several hit close by over the years," but this story is "a bit different."
The father says the story begins on October 18, 2011, but his son was three miles southwest of Columbus on Highway 30 traveling west.
"There was a large flash and his vehicle began stuttering and blinking on and off," the witness stated. "Then it straightened out."
The son drove home, the father reported, but then more odd things began to happen.
