Eleven additional UFO reports were logged in October 8, 2011, to the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database from the past 48 hours through 7 p.m. EST.

Missouri MUFON announced yesterday that some of the recent UFO reports - of the more than 80 total - were a result of the EAA Flying Team that took off from a Lee's Summit airport on October 4, 2011, at 7:40 p.m. and circled the area for about 12 to 15 minutes; then flew north to and arrived at Arrowhead at 8 p.m., then completed a fly over at Raytown, then traveled over I-70, and broke into two formation groups and landed in pairs between 8:15 and 8:20 p.m.

Both Missouri MUFON and the MUFON STAR Team are jointly investigating the following up on all of the recent reports and will make a final statement on these events once the investigation is complete.

The following 11 reports cover Kansas City UFO sightings between October 3 and 7, 2011. These are the unedited and as yet uninvestigated reports. Please keep in mind that some of these reports will fall into the identified category - and others will be studied independent of these known events.
