Three years after reporting on the breathtaking Stephenville UFO incident, National Public Radio correspondent Wade Goodwyn uses superlatives to describe that experience, which he chronicled for All Things Considered.

“It was a great story for me,” recalls Goodwyn, who continues to work for NPR in Dallas. “It brought me a lot of joy because it was so remarkable.”

More than anything else, what initially hooked him was the location of the 1/8/08 spectacle. “I mean, this is Stephenville! This is cowboy country,” he says. “I don’t know if you’re familiar with West Texans, but they’re fairly circumspect.”
