If this result can be duplicated by other researchers, then it would an enormous technological breakthrough.  The author points out, however, that the superconducting phase effect is transitory, and occurs in a noisy environment, and can also be affected by chemical impurities along with moisture, since copper-oxides are strongly hygroscopic, or water attracting.
